5 ft Reclaimed Wood Harvest Kitchen Table in Stoney Creek, Ontario<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The legs for our harvest tables<\/a> are made from the 4″x 4″ windbrace beams that come from the structure of a pioneer barn. The windbrace beams are place at an angle on the corners of the large beam joints to strengthen and re-enforce the barns against strong winds. We start with a 4″x 4″ windbrace beam, and then taper, add a notch, or turn the beams, or create a cabriole leg. In the case of this table, we dd the tapered with a notch legs. The taper and notch just add an extra level of detail; in situations where an extra level of formality is appropriate (as opposed to a modern, simple straight leg].<\/strong><\/h1>\n
