Our Hand-Hewn Pedestal Table: Displaying Pioneer Ingenuity of the Past<\/p>\n

Our most popular pedestal option is the hand-hewn posts option<\/a>. We use a single beam on round table and smaller sqaure\/rectangular table, and more as the tables get larger and larger.<\/h1>\n

The beauty of hand-hewn posts is were\u00c2\u00a0are part of the large structural beams in an old barn frame. They were broad-axed, by hand, by a pioneer 100+ years ago. Imagine using a broad-ax to size all the beams for a barn. This is becoming a lost art. Check out some sample picture of this option on an (unfinished) reclaimed wood table below:<\/h1>\n
