8 ft Reclaimed Wood Table on Puslinch Lake, Ontario<\/em><\/p>\n

The general guideline for seating is 2 ft table length\/person based on roughly 19″ chair width. So an 8 ft, as pictured below, will seat up to 10 people.<\/h1>\n

An option to consider is benches<\/a> at the ends of the table. Since standard table width is around 42″, the ends are not typically ideal for seating 2 people [until you get to a 48″+ width]. With a bench, however, you can much more easily get two people at the ends, particularly when seating children. Another benefit is the low profile doesn’t cut off the view of the distressed table top, which chairs tend to do. See pictures below for a sample. This seat we custom built for a customer on Puslinch Lake, Ontario.<\/h1>\n
