7 ft Custom Made Reclaimed Wood Trestle Table in Kitchener, Ontario<\/em><\/p>\n

We painstakingly work to maintain nearly all the original barn boards. This is a time-consuming challenge, as the boards have been in a barn for 100+ years.. with cupping, warping, twisting, ect ect. Edgar Beringer, our lead in the building shop, leads the effort to get to a flat table top while maintaining almost all the original distressing on the table top. There are many different strategies we use throughout the whole process to get to the final result.<\/strong><\/h1>\n

This trestle table set<\/a> we created for a client in Kitchener, Ontario is a great example of just how much of the original character we are able to keep. Obviously, this means a very rough table at the unfinished stage. Our epoxy finish fills in the cavities and allows for practical every day use, without sanding out the history of the wood.<\/strong><\/h1>\n
