Some of our customers prefer to feel the original distressing of the wood, while still having the practicality of a durable/waterproof finish. It’s a delicate balance between practicality and feeling the wood [the wood being rougher will make glasses less level; a bit tricker to clean]. Many of the elements of our tables can be modified as we custom build. For this reclaimed wood pedestal table, the customer opted for curved profile feet instead our typical straight lines option. We also did an extra thick 3″ joist material top option as well. The historical character of pioneer work comes through the wood with amount of distressing we keep. See pics below!
