Ontario Barnwood Table for a Kirkfield Cottage

When our reclaimed wood table top is similar in colour to your floor, a good way to break up the colour is with a painted base and/or chairs option. For this Kirkfield reclaimed wood harvest table set project, the customer did both.

Reclaimed Wood Harvest Table & Shaker Chairs for a Brownsburg-Chatham Home

Our greytone treatment option keeps the light colour of the unfinished barnwood we use. Given the age of the wood; there will still be quite a bit of brown. The way we get the unique look of our tables is keeping nearly all the original distressing from historic Ontario barns. The older distressing in a board gets, the darker it gets. Turned Legs Harvest Table made from Reclaimed Wood

Our reclaimed wood harvest tables are custom built to any size/style/finish. The finish is this case was a thick polyurethane finish, with no filling of the old distressing with epoxy. This works in some cases where the customer is okay with the top being substantially rough. The benefit is you can actually feel the barnwood distressing; but of course there’s a tradeoff when it comes to cleaning/smoothness.
