Ontario Barnwood Desk

Most of the time we fill in the pioneer distressing with clearcoat [no stain] to maintain the character/history while making practical/easy to clean/durable ect. However, some customers really want to feel the original distressing, in which case offer a simple polyurethane finish [no epoxy filling], which is what this desk customer opted for. While less practical, there is something cool about the original texture of the distressing being maintained. See pics!

Turned Legs Harvest Table made from Reclaimed Wood

Our reclaimed wood harvest tables are custom built to any size/style/finish. The finish is this case was a thick polyurethane finish, with no filling of the old distressing with epoxy. This works in some cases where the customer is okay with the top being substantially rough. The benefit is you can actually feel the barnwood distressing; but of course there’s a tradeoff when it comes to cleaning/smoothness. Distressed Wood Coffee Table

We custom build our reclaimed wood coffee table from scratch. We keep nearly all the original distressing in the old Ontario barnwood. For this project, the customer opted for the polyurethane finish only [no epoxy]; so that they could physically feel the distressing.
