6 ft xÂ 42″ Reclaimed Wood [Hemlock] Sawbuck Table in Paris, Ontario

We maintain the original edges on the floor boards the way they came out of the old barn. All the wear, distressing and roughness make for a unique edge on our reclaimed tops. We bread-edge the ends of the boards so that there is original edges on all sides. The final look isn’t quote “live” edge, but it’s also not a “cut” edge. Check out the edges on this reclaimed sawbuck table we made for a customer in Paris, Ontario!

5′ x 36″ Reclaimed Wood Harvest Table with Straight Legs in Waterloo Home

The legs on our traditional [4 legged] harvest style base are made from the small beams that hold the bigger timber together in a pioneer barn [“wind brace beams”]. We use these as the raw material as they have original distressing on 4 sides. This customer opted for a simple straight leg style on their harvest table. See pictures below – and notice how we didn’t have to do any cutting/milling or artificial distressing on the 4 sides of each leg.

6.5 ft x 3.5 ft Reclaimed Wood Sawbuck Table & Plank Back Chairs in Elmira, Ontario Home

All our table tops are made from 100+ year barn floor boards (“threshing floor” boards). We like using the barn floor boards as they typically are thick (around 2″) and have the most amount of distressing. We then keep all that distressing in the final product.
