In smaller spaces many of our customers will be looking for a 2-4 seater table. Small round tables are great for these applications. They don’t take up as much space and are great for higher traffic areas. Check out this small kitchen table we made with a reclaimed cedar hydro pole base.

12 ft Reclaimed Wood Custom Boardroom Table

Despite using rough, distressed wood, we don’t do rough hand work. We aim to combine fine craftmanship and rustic wood in such a way that the build is strong, but the distressing of the wood is maintained. This suits modern boardrooms very well as it effectively contrasts with the modern design; while still being heavy duty/easy to clean and taking advantage of modern carpentry technology. To get large tables into small service elevator we can break the table down into smaller pieces for delivery and then put together into one large piece on site. We did this with the below table; 15′ x 50″ boardroom table into a downtown Toronto high rise. See pics below!

Most modern service elevators can handle up to 7 ft height. This is typically plenty for most condo tables [we do have building configuration options to allow for much larger tables]. 5 ft and under can be built on a single pedestal and still be very stable. After 6 ft we typically recommend two pedestals. Check out this 4 ft [max 6 seater] reclaimed hemlock pedestal table we custom built for a Toronto condo client.

Â As we design around what the raw material sizing already is [coming out of the old barns] a lot of our table base designs are fairly straight lines. We do have options for more formal/curved/”Victorian” space. This Vaughn customer did an interesting combination of a more classic violin shaped trestle base with a modern looking high gloss topcoat. Check out the pics below! The juxtaposition of classic and modern provides a unique look.

We only apply clearcoat [no stain] to our tables. There is already a lot of colour to work with given the old age of the raw material [the older wood gets the darker it gets]. Gable End Reclaimed Wood Coffee Table Design Option

The most popular coffee table our customers opt for is the straight leg/ bottom shelf design. We can do any, however [as long as the design is fairly straight lines; allowing us to maintain nearly all the original distressing]. Check out this gable end design. This is great for maximum storage underneath. The vertical 2″ gable ends really emphasize the original distressing. See pics below of one we did for a customer in Toronto, Ontario!
