Amazing Boardrooms Designed for Productivity

An increasingly part of our business is boardroom tables. The contrast of modern commercial spaces and warm, reclaimed wood is a winning combination. Our epoxy finish makes using heavily distressed Ontario barnwood a viable option [smoothness is particularly important on a conference table; as they are often written on]. The jury is still out on whether a beautiful workspace makes employees more productive; but one thing is sure – that meeting with an important prospective client will be more memorable when done on a very unique, character-filled table.

We recently created this boardroom table for an office in Ancaster, Ontario.

Sawbuck Table with Bench seating in front of window

The first time I saw this type of seating was in a friend’s RV; where space is a limiting factor.

The same can be applied to a home; with bench seating. When built into a wall; bench seating can provide the required back support and negate the need for chairs [which require more space).

Here is an example of such a setup; which we custom built for a home in Toronto, ON.

Custom Reclaimed Wood Island Top finished with our waterproof epoxy finish

An island is usually near the centre of a kitchen; which offers an opportunity to make it a beautiful centrepiece. As our epoxy finish is waterproof and durable; it`s a great option for foodÂ preparation.

This island top, which we built for customer in Â Cambridge, Ontario; wasÂ particularly unique. Not only was the shape unique (built off a customer-provided plywood template_; but we extended the end beyond the cabinetry. With a hand-hewn pedestal base and round shape on the end; a seating area was created.

A round table can be a great option in an area that has a lot of high traffic – such a small kitchen that has patio doors to the deck nearby. It allows for smooth traffic flow all around.

We custom built this table using or durable epoxy finish for a client in Oakville, Ontario.

Up and Coming Design! Double Pedestal Tables

Check out this new design! Two hand-hewn beam posts [alternatively: cedar hydro pole base] with a 2″ threshing floor board top. The major benefit to this design is it’s non-restrictive seating capacity; as well as it’s unique heavy-duty design that emphasizes the old beam’sÂ original, authentic barnwoodÂ distressing.

This oval one, specifically, was created for Jiffy Lube’s headquarters boardroom Â in Edmonton, Alberta.
