Since the wood we use is so old, it already comes with a lot of rich aged natural tones; so much so that we don’t have to stain [just clearcoat to pull the colour out]. In a light coloured modern farmhouse setting, this particularly stands out as a centre piece. Check out this reclaimed wood sawbuck table [with X back chairs] we built for a cottage in Parry Sound:
