For a consistently dark colour with no redder tones, our new black stain treatment may be a good option. This hutch customer opted for this. Another unique element on this project was the sqaure, heavy duty crown molding. We typically use a 45 degree angle crown; but in this case the client wanted a straight lines, modern design. A reclaimed wood hutch is a great way to add lots of storage capacity. Our custom hutches can be made of any combination of drawers, doors & shelves. For these we primarily use interior 1′ boards from the barn [grainery board] Our design is very straight lines; and we don’t stain [only natural wood] so these will fit in virtually any style of space.
