Alternative Base Colour Option: Black with Sand-throughs
A black with sand-throughs base colour is ideal when you’re aiming to make a distressed, barnwood top stand out as the major centrepiece. This is most applicable when the space almost has an “over-abundance” of wood and is need of something to break it up a bit.
It is also quite often used on formal dining room tables; where there is need to tame the “rustic” element of the reclaimed table.
This is an option on any of our table bases; stay tuned for samples of other options! Or.. let us know what you have in mind and we can custom finish to it!
This particular table set was made for a nice couple from Hamilton, Ontario.

Consider covering a half wall with a distressed reclaimed wood top!
This strategy has a nice “crown” look to it; and makes a half wall a functional top for drinks, ornamentation or whatever the area functions as.
This one is particular was more a “mancave” – a basement finishing in a pub style. The top is finished with our premium matte epoxy and polyurethane finish. The species was old-growth hemlock [threshing floor boards].
Home Entertainment Cabinets
Nobody likes the look of ugly chords and electrical arround their home theatre system. Consider designing a custom TV stand or home theatre cabinet from reclaimed wood! Not only can you build it to suit your specific needs (from a Playstation to record player); the contrast of old, antique wood with new technology/electronics is sure to look unique.
You can go with a more simple threshing floor wall design; or custom cabinetry (drawers; doors, internal shelving).

Consider matching the legs of a bench to the harvest table it sits beside!
This one is particular was made for a reclaimed wood harvest table that had tapered with a notch legs.
This style of bench is just as sturdy as our regular style benches; but is more open underneath.

Want to make a meeting at your company memorable? Consider a large reception desk – featuring threshing floor walls – at the entrance of your business. The combination of modern office spaces (glass, steel..) and old distressed wood provide a truly unique look.
This one was made for DBCS Smartsoftware in Kitchener, Ontario. We stained the walls to create contrast – making the table top (reclaimed hemlock with a matte epoxy / polyurethane finish) tie in with the floor. Alternatively; a lot of our customer keep the walls natural as well.
We frequently receive pictures of Restoration Hardware’s product. The primary reason being people like the tones of Restoration’s tables. The only downside is the Restoration’s tables come very untreated (imagine spilling a glass of wine and your $3000+ table being destroyed). Essentially Restoration’s tables capture the colour of unfinished wood very well. We sell tables that are completely untreated, as well – but it’s typically for “do-it-yourself” clients who plan on finishing the tables (or other) themselves.. or those who want the piece primarily as a work of art that they’ll only be using a few times a year. Both these options are legitimate; but if you’d like a well treated table that will stand up to daily life (waterproof, durable) our new GREYSHIELD is for you! Inquire for more details.. and stay tuned for more pictures.info on this!

Often times, the graphics we embed are in a table headed for a boardroom (logos, ect) – but not always. Do you have a favourite saying? Scripture passage? Family expression? Symbol? Picture? Consider embedded in this in your new table top. We can custom cut almost anything; from almost any file format. Once it’s laser cut out of steel (and sanded for a nice brushed steel look) we router the graphic into the table top. After that, epoxy is flooded over the top; so that the graphic is completely part of the table top and the surface is still smooth.
