I came to realization that www.hdthreshing.dreamhosters.com/blog is a complicated web address (especially when relaying over the phone!). Therefore, you can now reach our website via www.table.ca as well.

Depending on how you think you’ll use a table; we can do many different modifications.
For example, a lot of our customers go for the standard style trestle; with the rail in the centre. You could also put the rail at the bottom, if you like. This allows for a more modern, straight lines look on the ends. Our reclaimed wood tables are completely customizable; just let us know what you’re looking for.

Every considered how many people you can get around a single picnic table?
This is due to the no-wasted-space style of bench seating. Consider putting benches around our reclaimed wood tables for a homely, cozy feel. Or, consider doing bench seating on half the table and chairs around the rest [a common choice]; which provides flexibility.
One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of our customers ask if it’s okay to adjust dimensions/ style during the design process. I though I would just clarify – this is always okay.. everything we do we built from scratch! From reclaimed wood tables to a floating shelf to custom cabinetry – we do it all! Here’s some samples of stuff we’ve done recently that is “off the beaten path”….

Recently a company was interested in getting a 14 ft boardroom table from us. After we talked about colour, design, size ect, we narrowed it down to a 14 ft – 48″ wide – 3 post – reclaimed wood [hemlock] table – with the premium epoxy / matte polyurethane finish. We only then realized a major snag – how would we get this big beautiful table into the boardroom? The office was in a unique building that only had man doors to get in, a small elevator, and tight stairwells. This is what we came up with …
Essentially the base of the trestle table [like all our tables] was made so that it could be disassembled to get in. The 14 ft – 48″ would be inconceivable to get inside in one piece. The customer preferred not to have two tables that they could slide together; as he felt it would take away from the look. What we did was pre-dowelled, but didn’t glue, the seam in the centre. This allowed the top to be taken inside in two pieces. Then, when assembling on site; we re-drilled the dowel holes [as epoxy got in the holes during the finishing process] and slid the two tops together. This resulted in the best possible seam, and a boardroom table that was one complete piece (for reclaimed wood, anyway.. as reclaimed.. particularly threshing floor boards.. are distressed, rough, and not very geometric)
