We custom build desks from old Ontario barnwood. Combined with our epoxy + polyurethane finish, we can maintain the original pioneer distressing while still being practical, good to write & spill on, ect. For this Ottawa desk project, the customer opted for our bleached greytone treatment option, which maintains the light colour of unfinished and cuts out the brown tones. See pics below! Reclaimed Hemlock is an unique raw material. It splits very spirally and has an enormous amount of character.
