7 ft Salvaged Barnwood Table with Epoxy Finish in Cambridge, Ontario

The unique look of our tables comes from our alternative approach to carpentry. We maintain nearly all the original barnwood distressing. We allow the original patina to determineÂ the colour as opposed to stain. We keep the wood in the final product as close as possible to the way it was taken directly from a century old pioneer barn.

This sawbuck table we custom made for a customer in Cambridge is a good sample of this.

72″ Reclaimed Wood Round Table with Reclaimed Cedar Hydro Pole Base in Toronto, Ontario

Natural reclaimed [no stain, just clearcoat] works in almost every kind of colour scheme/design. The uniqueness of the wood, especially with the degree of distressing we maintain, calls for it to act as an independent piece. For example, with new wood/stains, you would likely try to match your table to the floor and other wood in space, and vise versa. While reclaimed can certainly pull in the tones from a space and act as a ‘combining’ fixture.. it’s different than a new wood table in that you wouldn’t try to match a floor (for example) to our reclaimed wood tops.

12 ft Reclaimed Wood Table with 12 chairs in Puslinch, Ontario

Using black and/or black stains isÂ a great way to create contrast and emphasize our heavily distressed reclaimed wood tops. This harvest table we made for a customer is Puslinch used both. Making the chair frame black – and the skirting and legs a black frame – nicelyÂ broke up the wood tones. See pictures below!

7′ x 42″ Reclaimed Wood Hemlock Harvest Table in Udora, Ontario Home

The cabriole leg option with our harvest style tables are great for a more formal and less modern look. While most of our product is fairly straight lines (given we design a lot of our stuff around what the sizing already is from the old barn in order to maintain as much original distressing as possible) there are situations where some curving is ideal. Check out this harvest table we created for a customer in Udora, Ontario. The table really stands out as a centerpiece in the lighter coloured space.

16 ft x Â 6 ft Reclaimed Wood Boardroom Tables with Epoxy Finish in London, OntarioÂ

A common challenge with large boardroom tables is getting them in to the space. We can do final on-site dry doweling; which is ideal most of the time. An alternative is designing the table in such a way that it can be broken down into smaller tables. This has the added benefit of the ability to re-configure the table top space depending on the type of use the boardroom is being used for. See a sample of this option below!

We custom built this table for a company in London, Ontario. We do a lot of boardroom table because of our unique finish. The epoxy/polyurethane finish makes the table top good for writing/spilling/working on; but nearly all the original barnwood distressing in maintained. The finish also ensures the table doesn’t look too rustic; even in very modern spaces.

A black base is a great way to create contrast and emphasize a beautiful reclaimed wood top. Combined with solid black chairs; the distressed grain of the table top is very emphasized. This is what our Georgetown, ON customer below did (see pics below!). Even when painted black; the character and rustic nature of the old wood can be seen and felt; given how much of the original distressing we maintain.

Reclaimed Wood Trestle Table in Waterloo, Ontario Home

One of the benefits of the trestle style base is the rail between the two posts. This is great for putting your feet up. This is one of the oldest table designs utilized. We keep the posts narrow enough to avoid hitting knees; and keep the feet close to the floor; accommodating seating nicely. We have many variations of this base – straight lines base, violin shaped base, horizontal rail/vertical rail, curved feet vs straight feet and so on. Everything we is is custom built from scratch, so we are always open changes and ideas you may have.

A simple 2 door reclaimed wood hutch can add enormous amounts of storage capability; without taking up a lot of room. A hutch can act as a closet with a bar to hang clothing, or shelving. We’ve done many of these types of units for law offices. Law offices deal with a lot of bank style boxes and files; so easy storage in each room is important.

This is the most popular design used. The warm character of the reclaimed 1″ grainery board contrasts nicely with offices; which tend to be more modern.
