62″ Round Table in Thornhill, Ontario Made from Reclaimed Barnwood

Using non-wood chairs are a great way to make the table top the centerpiece; as the softer look really makes the table top the centerpiece and avoid competing wood grain. With wood chairs, wormy maple is ideal as the grain is a lot less dominant than, for example – oak – and therefore doesn’t compete with the table top. Given the unique nature of our reclaimed wood tops, we usually recommend a design strategy that makes the table top the centerpiece.

Check out this custom round table we built for a customer in Thornhill, Ontario – a great example of the use of reclaimed and parsons chairs.

Reclaimed Wood Restaurant Tops: A Finish That Stands Up

We keep nearly all the original distressing from the wood we reclaim. This means, at the unfinished stage, our tops are very rough. However, it doesn’t stop there! We the fill with a durable, waterproof finish – namely, epoxy. Polyurethane then reduces the shine.

As a consequence, we frequently create whole tablesÂ or just tops for restaurants.

An option that is available to our restaurant clients is the burning of aÂ logo/graphic into the table top. In these cases, we basically make a branding tool, heat it, and then imprint the graphic into the table top. See pictures below for a sample of table tops we did for a Kitchener, Ontario banquet hall!

Custom Reclaimed Wood Bed in Haliburton Lake, Ontario Cottage

Our custom built platform beds can be built to any size. Many of our bed clients opt for the bottom drawers; as substantial storage can be gained underneath beds. These massive drawers are a lot of work; so if you have sufficient storage space we can do without drawers; saving about $500/drawer.

This client opted for the drawers; given the need to maximize storage space in a northern Ontario cottage. We’ve had the pleasure of delivering to many far north cottages [ I threw in a pic from this delivery to give you and idea of how beautiful northern Ontario is, and the pleasure we have delivering to these areas!].

The simple design, like all our furniture, allowsÂ the original face distressing of the reclaimed wood to really shine! See pics below!

4 Foot Custom Wine Cellar Table in Niagara, Ontario Basement

All our tables are custom built to any size. This means they can be sized to whatever the area may require, even odd sizes. For example, we made this harvest style table bar height, and a lot narrower than standard, for a wine cellar in Niagara, Ontario.

Our reclaimed wood tables are great for wineries and wine cellars. The aged tones bring warmth to the spaces; and the waterproof top means spilling wine is no problem!

Reclaimed Wood Sawbuck Table in Lynden, Ontario

Our reclaimed wood tables are great for pulling in tones from everywhere in the space. The wide range of tones is a result of the aged patina [the older wood gets, the darker it gets]. Since our raw material is so old, we have a lot of tones to start with. We keep these tones, rather than using artificial tones that come from stains.
